Our newest range of baskets will have you mesmerised by the colours and organic shapes. These unique vessels have been woven by hand with close attention to pattern, form and colour. Each one is crafted using durable elephant grass. The artists add water to soften the grasses enough to sculpt them into their organic and unique shapes. Coloured stitching then covers the entire vessel giving each one it's unique personality.

Details

The Mali basket vase features a flat base, a conical shape and tapers upwards to a very narrow opening and small lip. Broad horizontal stripes in orange and pink ensure this statement work of art is admired by all who see it. 

Useful as a vase for dry grasses or flowers but this vase's main purpose is to be admired.

Care Instructions

Strong light can cause the natural dyes in textile to fade so try display this piece away from direct sunlight. Occasional misting with distilled water is advised if your climate is very dry.
